Can thyroid problems cause abdominal cramps?

ok so yesterday i went to my gi doctor wich was a waste of money he did nothing i was told i had ibs by my primRY DOC then my doc said i dont think you have ibs and he have me a referal to see a gi so the gi told me absolutly nothing i was crying no one can give me answers i told him i get back pain when i go number and that also i get instestinal cramps ..to top it of i told him that when i got hungry i had this horrible pain in my stomach and when i eat it goes away he said your blood workk looks fine you dont have an ulcer i thought that to be diagnose with ibs you had to get a colonoscopy well know from all this crap they me i have know the say it seems i have thyroid problems please whta should i do ihave insurance with anthem blue cross but its an hmo since my husband works with the hospital..do you think if i switch uo to ppo things might change like for example they might give me a colonoacopy endoscopy better service thanks
