Why does a home have to be listed with a realtor before it can be inspected?

Wait! What is John talking about. You as the seller have every right to have a home inspection, in fact I recommend it before putting the house on the market. That way if there are issues, you can address them now and it doesn't become a negotiated item when the buyer does come along. Sounds like John is wanted to seal up the listing before you are ready. Don't let him push you this way. It doesn't have to be listed with a Realtor! There is no law that states that. Tell John to cool his jet ski's until you are ready.
