Does Turning off Motion flow on Sony tv's reduce the tv to 60hz?

So I think is dumb how movies look like when the motionflow is turned on select Sony Televisions. It looks 100X better if motionflow is turned off. What I want to know is if motionflow is turned off, does that mean the tv is then reduced to 60hz?
