Why do people have an issue with BET?

I was just wondering why is it that some people have an issue with BET (Black Entertainment Television)? I have heard complaints from people of all races and back grounds about why do they have their own channel? But no one ever says why they have an issue with it. Is there a reason to have an issue with it? Why or why not?
